A personal favorite.
One of my favorite winter photos of two of my boys playing in the snow. I took this 10 winters ago and I still bring it out each year. My boys in the photo are now 14 and almost 19.
I have 4 boys and would always try and make it outside at some point when they were playing to take some pictures. They pretty much found me annoying but would acquiesce and let me take a few. I think they learned to just get it done with so they could get back to playing.
I think my older boys are beginning to see why I was so annoying in recording their lives best I could with photos. They do like seeing the 'way back when' photos now.
This was taken with an old Canon Powershot point and shoot. (i still have it and it works) If you look close you can see the pop-up flash came out that stopped some of the snowflake motion. There is one snowflake on my older son's cheek that actually made a shadow as it was falling from the flash.
Odd thing with digital now and then is getting these images to become permanent. I have them all on CD/DVD which some day will become obsolete. Not sure even cloud storage is forever. I have often thought of printing old fashioned photo albums with archival paper so my kids, kids, kids . . . can enjoy them.
Maybe this is a bucket list project.
