Lights are on . . .

Awoke with a firm plan - to hell with the foot - I'm going away! Tomorrow. I'll just have to be a bit careful not to go clambering over rocks or walking too much on uneven or loose ground (like sandy beaches!). I need to find some space though - physical space, head space, heart space. I've decided I'll head down the East Coast - Kaikoura, Christchurch through to Banks' Peninsula then maybe down to Moeraki. Who knows what might happen after that but I'll almost certainly come back up the West Coast. It'll feel odd doing it this way around but I want to visit some places I haven't been before. I've done the West Coast heaps (and for good reason!) so this time it's the East's turn.

Spent today finsihing off the calendar, then beginning to pack the van. No rush. It'll happen.

Called a friend of a friend about house sitting whilst I'm away. What a great chance call! She'll come by tomorrow morning to get the low down on things and seems very happy to stay for however long I'll be away. The boys will be happy! For now though - an early (ish!) night.
