GOOAAAL

This is a special blip for me.

It is little son (age 21) scoring in his last game for Loughborough University. After the game he signed his player registration documents and transfer to Brisbane Strikers. He flies to Australia on the 27th as their pre season training starts in Feb.

What a game it was; Lufbra won 6-4 after being down 3-1 at half time. At half time little son was switched back to his normal centre half position. His goal came from a move after a short corner, it made it 4-4.

I have watched most of his games since he was age 8 when he first signed for Derby Academy, then our team Walsall as an apprentice, before following his dream to study at Lufbra. We have travelled the Country. He is taking the opportunity to take a year in Australia, with his girlfriend since school and what an experience it will be I'm sure, but I will certainly miss him and I can't yet imagine not watching him play. Even when he left home at 18 I still saw him most weekends even if it was only a wave from the stands.
