DDW's January 2014 Challenge Day 11: Behind

Today was glorious, blue skies and some warmth in the sun. Went out with the mad woman's poodle for a good couple of hours this morning and soaked up some of that vitamin D!

This car was left behind in the top corner of a field many years ago, just as new saplings were planted to form a new woodland. They have since grown up around it and there are no official paths through this young wood so stumbling across this wreck in the thick of trees is quite an out of place surprise. Here it is again as snapped by PW in the summer.

I had to cut off the very front of the wing as someone has spray painted a mans 'you know what' on it ;)

I used to ride my pony around here regularly when i was a kid, that was some 25 years ago and it's all looking familiar but different. There are still remains of a tree house us kids built in a secret copse across the fields, in the days when we were out all day rummaging around in the countryside, no fears except of falling out of trees.

In the holidays my poor pony used to be out all day most days adventuring with me. Happy happy memories :)
