The Calm After the Storm

Had a long lie in and a lazy relaxed morning. Then decided to have a wander around Eynsford village in the beautiful sun we had today. With all the recent rain, the River Darenth was high and the ford was up to 3 feet. We had a cup of tea and a cheese and ham fondue in the Crown, an unassuming pub which is more like a tea shop inside with its light walls and mis-matching chairs.

Had a difficult time choosing my blip for today as quite quite a few nice shots. With the rushing river, light shining through the arches of a viaduct, swans swimming on the road right next to passing cars and then tried my first attempt at light trails on the way home - on a bridge over the M25 at dusk. But this one just caught my eye with the reflection in the small puddle on the right.

Now for a cosy night in with a takeaway and the start of the new series of The Voice.
