A good day ...

Today I spent most of the time with the local archaeological group looking at the impact of coastal erosion at three sites on North Uist. It was fascinating to hear an expert talk about the various bits and pieces and I came away determined to learn more. Also great to meet a disparate bunch of people sharing an interest. I will sign up to a ten week course being organised locally. Best of all was to spend five hours outdoor in a blustery, cold but bright day.
As we left Berneray the sun was starting to set and I took this shot looking north to the distinctive shape of Toe Head on Harris. I loved the shape of the clouds. You can just see the snow on the hills of Harris to the right of Toe Head if you zoom in - none here yet although there was some hail on the ground in our garden this morning.
