Sheilah's snaps

Songbirds Keep Singing

And the songbirds keep singing
Like they know the score
And I love you I love you I love you
Like never before

Eva Cassidy

Robins are adapted to life in poor light and are often active in half-light when few other birds are about. They tend to be among the earliest birds to start the dawn chorus and one of the last to stop in the evening.

Derek's unwavering faith in the weather forecast meant that despite battering-down rain we headed out to Martin Mere this morning. Sure enough, an amazingly bright full arc rainbow en route, then gradually, as we approached our destination, the sun came out :)
This robin was singing its heart out - caught it here between trills.
