Maison de canard

It was a great night last night, meeting up with the Dame and the curry was good too.

This morning I went in past #50 to drop off mail and ended up staying nearly an hour. Then breakfast in the cafe, with NK, and along to #66 to drop off more paperwork before heading to King's Cross.

It was a beautiful, sunny morning. We were meeting at NCVO up beside the Canal. And a good meeting, a day talking about housing. It was still light when we left at 4. I was trying to get the duck on the water but he/she found whatever was growing in the walls more interesting.

After another meeting 3 of us went for a drink in St Pancras, not the Champagne Bar though. A drink, or two or three. I left to head off to the Strand and 'the Duck House' but somehow I got waylaid and ended up in St Martin's in the Field, buying a surplus ticket for a front row seat at the Mozart Requiem. Brilliant!

Then pizza and the tube back to E1.

No ducks today and no Duck House.
