early bird

I was in the car park ready to start my hike at 8:45am.

Worth it - got the best of the day. Cold & frosty, but beautiful.

I covered almost 15km in 3.5 hours, with 2 wee hills (East Lomond - in the shot - and West Lomond) en route.

It was a good choice of hike as it's close to home (so I can see what the weather is doing up there) but also because it was one of my friend's training hikes when getting ready for Kilimanjaro (see yesterday's post).

That little lochan is frozen, by the way.

This shot has to be a winner because the Velux factory is just down the hill from E Lomond (plus I know the MD).
