Surveying the Scene

I have had another wonderful day, the weather has been simply GREAT. In the morning my daughter and I climbed Mt Roy, making it to the first fence. I was 'pooped', as the sun was pretty strong, so it was very hot, and I guzzled plenty of water. On the way down we passed quite a few walkers who were sitting on the side of the track, out of energy.

Spent the afternoon playing croquet, won 2, lost 1. The exciting day finished at the movies, we saw Philomena, quite sad, but worth seeing.

This photo was taken at our lunch spot, on the left looking up the valley towards Makarora, and in the middle is the Peninsula. btw that's me without my bike!
