View from boat at sunrise

Back blip
........from Turtle bay.
It was BEAUTIFUL! So calm and the reflections were perfect. Every day seemed to start calm and then the wind got up as the day went on.
This day we sailed from Turtle bay through the Solway pass and to Whitehaven beach where we moored (at the second attempt as the sea was so rough) and then we went in the tender to the beach. It is perfect, white sand as fine as cornflour, and 6 kms long. I didn't blip that though as the view from our mooring didn't show it to its best advantage and it was too rough to take my camera in the tender. We got soaked to the skin going back to the yacht!
After that we sailed on to Border Island and moored with difficulty due to the wind, and had a lovely lunch. Then off again through the Hook passage to Nara inlet where we dropped the anchor and stayed the night.
