Succour
Sixty minutes spent in the Bebek district of Istanbul with my two beloved art and photo teacher colleagues and a group of photography students on this perfectly sunlit January day. This was an hour of artistic solace and succour at the end of a difficult week - and Starbucks. Apparently this particular branch of the chain coffee shop is world wide best location for its glorious view of the Bosphorus. Intensely sunlit boat filled waters, we sat outside on the deck and watched and talked and I pointed my camera directly into the sun.
This evening was spent with Karen. She made the most delicious spinach/pomegranate/roasted walnut/blue cheese salad with cheese soufflé. Astounding culinary experience.
