Winter Watersport

I'm loving this mild winter. Please don't change!!

Today I worked from home so I could spend a little more time with Marie. She and hubs drove the girls to school in Kaiserswerth and I jumped on my computer early. While they explored Düsseldorf and Kettwig until noon I tackled my enormous to-do list.

When they got home, I rewarded my productive morning with a long lunch break. Marie and I walked through the woods and along the river - nearly 5k. The day was glorious - cold but sunny with a bright blue sky. It felt great to get out and exercise midday in crisp air.

After our little excursion, I drove Marie & Sven up river to Kettwig with our double kayak and set them in the water so they could paddle back to Mülheim with the current. Then I returned to my desk for a few more hours of work.

Dinner of roasted veggies and salmon with the whole family, a couple hours of just catching up on the last few years of our lives, and now an "early" retreat to bed.

All in all, a lovely Friday. Happy weekend, friends.
