Plain Sailing...back in the day.
A little wooden boat which was my bath toy as a nipper. It still has a few remnants of what was presumably lead filled paint encrusted on its wooden hull. Goodness only knows how I survived sucking on that as I was teething. It used to have a crew of three but they must have abandoned ship or been lost at sea long ago.
Anyway, nearly fifty years on - gulp - I still have it on a shelf at home. I love the fact that the ancient string is still there too.
Life was simpler then. Not only because I didn't have the cares and responsibilities (or the daily photo project) to worry about. Not many children in ipad, xbox, playstation land would be happy with just a wooden boat... oh, and it's crew.
