It is Friday

The light was very poor last night so I hovered for some time trying to decide what best to do. Eventually I decided to sketch Laurence Canty and there was a seat next to Fran that gave me a great view. Laurence is so laid back and a joy to sketch as he produces his beautiful chords and solos from his bass guitar

After I finished sketching Laurence, I only had a few of her solos to sketch Fran, so I left this as a pencil sketch.

And finally a minute sketch of Dave Lee on his saxophone.

Fran is about to go to Mexico for a few weeks so who knows what her adventure will be.

Last night I put one of my jazz calendars in the raffle and it was a pleasure that Susie got it.

So that was my last visit to Burgundy's for some time - will I find jazz cafes in New Zealand....I wonder?
