Smoking smoked salmon.

Today, following yesterday's tarry sheds, another bit of the Scottish fishing industry.

These are the smokestacks of the Old Salmon Fish House in Buchanhaven, (the birthplace of Mrs T.), standing at the mouth of the River Ugie.

The Old Salmon Fish House is the oldest Salmon smokehouse in Scotland having been built in 1585. It was originally built for the Fifth Earl Marischal for keeping and preserving game and fish.

Needless to say we brought home some of their excellent produce!
