Travelling
Today was the ten hour drive to Uig on Skye. Not so bad wen the scenery included Eilean Donan castle although it has to be said that was only after nine hours in the car. The view that launched a million biscuit tins.
Less impressive was a visit to Glasgow Ikea en route. Perhaps we ought to aim to tick them all off.
Such Ikea visits however never induce the same sense of peace that looking at this castle can - indeed Tricia would feel the opposite. Surprising perhaps when you think what an unpeaceful history this castle had being a centre of Jacobite revolt and consequentially was destroyed by the English navy in 1719 only to be restored in the 20th century.
