Country road

This looks like a quiet country road, miles from anywhere, right? Wrong. The Berg en Heideweg lies just a hundred yards from the A12 motorway, which links Holland and Germany, so is suffused with a continuous roar of traffic. Also, it lies immediately adjacent to three towns, varying in size from 1,500 to 150,000.
