The drawing on the wall

Halfway through lunch today Alfie announced he needed the toilet so he ran off upstairs. After 5 minutes of him been up there I shouted him to come down. It was only after he sat down that I noticed the lovely blue line on the wall behind his head. I asked him what it was & he said he had been drawing, I turned to the stairs to see he had drawn on the wall all the way down the stairs, on the glass balustrade panel & along the wall on the landing.

Luckily he used a bath crayon & not a regular wax crayon, I managed to clean most of the 'artwork' on the stairs & Alfie tried to redeem himself by cleaning the landing wall but only proceeded to make it worse.

It's safe to say that the bath crayons will be going in the bin as I now feel it's sending out the wrong message that you can draw on the bathroom walls (which are also covered in blue crayon, along with the bath & shower screen) but not others.

I've had some people tell me that I'm mean for not allowing him to have regular wax crayons but this isn't the first time, nor will it probably be the last time he artifys my walls & I'd much rather be cleaning off pencil or biro!
