Gaia's Child

Reach

Rainy morning, Sandhill arrival later than usual. Since they don't bother with human determined time constraints, they take to the air when the light is Right. Usually they come in waves, with individuals numbering in the 10's or 20's. Today was different…Small groups arrived and then one Large contingent of at least 200+ showed up. They flew low, directly over me. So low I could see their faces and could actually see individual birds vocalizing! I never experienced anything quite like that before. I just pointed my lens skyward and just kept shooting. Today's blip is just one lone bird. I thought long and hard about several other shots showing groups of birds but this one is my favorite today. I'll post some of the other ones in my Blipfolio when I get time later tonight. Hope you enjoy this one :)
