Debonair Gentleman

Yesterday we had some shopping to do and my youngest came along with gift cards and cash he'd acquired for Christmas. With his own money he bought this shirt, tie, and cardigan that he proudly matched to his favorite bright blue jeans. Today he was eager to wear the new duds to school. Early this morning (pre-dawn!) I grabbed this image of him still sleepy-eyed but very happy.

He's been extremely style-conscious since he was a toddler. As long as I can remember he has carefully selected his own clothes, often laying them out the evening before school and sometimes changing several times a day. One of our exchange daughters made him a T-shirt at least 7 years ago that said "Fashion King" and nothing has changed since :)
