Living in Manchester

By Theboysmum

St James' Building

This massive building was a warehouse built in 1912.
Now it is an office block with shops and food outlets on the ground floor.
It is faced with Portland Stone and dominates Oxford Street in Manchester.
The Rochdale canal passes under the building.

This just shows part of the façade and it looks yellow due to the street lighting.
The building is in fact white.

I passed it twice today on my journey to work through Manchester.
