Stairway in BELvue Museum
I visited this museum today with a friend. "Bellevue" means beautiful view, this was the name of the hotel that was built in the 18th century near the Belgian Royal Palace in Brussels. Later this hotel was bought by the Court and used as residence for some Belgian Princes and Princesses before it became the BELvue museum .
BELvue probably refers to ' view on Belgium and its history', with the emphasis on the history of the Belgian Royals. The Belgian Royals don't have a long history, they only had 7 kings so far, but they do have a juicy history :-)
My Blip foto for today is the view of the bust of King Leopold II under the staircase leading to the second floor.
