New shoes
As husband has gone back to work two weeks earlier than planned I've taken myself off armed with my Christmas vouchers shopping as I will be needing jeans for our trips away.
By the time I'd finished waking up, showering, washing up, sorting the dogs etc etc it was 11.30 before I made it to town.
Had a mooch in waterstones and got some pressies for husband. On the basis that I'm flat broke I've put it on his account. He is always telling me to do so but I've never done so before. Feels a bit ridiculous as they are pressies for him but I know he will love them and they are going to be very useful for our coming plans.
I spent about 2 hours in M&S. not somewhere I would usually hang out but seeing as I had vouchers.
I'm desperate for new jeans and need them urgently. I'm mortified to be searching in marks for them. It's one step away from buying catalog jeans. I've put in my trolley every shape and size to try but I know I won't be happy even if they fit because they all look, well.... How shall I put it. Like they've come from M&S. then..... Through all the crowds I spot them... I can't believe it. In the distance on a sale rail is what looks like a pair of vintage coloured boot legs. It can't be true.... I race as fast as I can... And there they are... MYYYYYYYY jeans. Plus they are reduced to 8 quid. It can't be true.
I'm sure they won't fit. I looked at the original price and they must have been reduced because they really are too cool for skool.
I shouldn't really knock m&s because I do love getting some classic pieces from there but in recent years their psychedelic Lycra pieces and crochet knit purple cardigans with glitter has really been too much. Also their jeans have never been their strong point.
After a hot n sweaty half an hour in their changing rooms I but my vintage jeans, and surprisingly their cheapest dark blue boot legs which I think just about are acceptable.
I did blow the last of my voucher on some fabulous blue suede boots and underwear. In fact overall quite a successful marks shop.
My back is throbbing.
Had a quick half an hour in camps and bought a fab pair of flat blue suede shows then decide I've maxed out on energy time to go home.
Feel like pretty woman with my cluster of shopping bags (and not a prostitute as my husband said when I said later I felt like Julia Roberts on my shopping trip).
Found a fabulous blue handbag in a charity shop on the way home. I've gone royal blue mad.
Very chuffed with my shoes and boots. They have lots of padding in for my fibro bones.
I made beetroot hummus when I got home. Not entirely sure it's a winner. Have put half in the freezer.
Louis sent me some fab piccies of doodle.
