Stockiemuir toward Ben Lomond
With lots of beautiful sunshine today as yesterday, I could not resist another quick run out to the Queen's View to see how the light was working on the landscape today. It was really a reversal of yesterday, because dark clouds had gathered over Ben Lomond obscuring the summit, and darkening the Stirlingshire landscape, while the moor was bathed in sunshine. The dark blue of the mountains and sky are unfiltered and contrast starkly with the orange bracken and yellow grasses. I used the line of the deer fence to lead the eye into the middle distance.
I was tempted to upload a wide-angled shot of a couple of colourful cyclists pedalling hard up the Stockiemuir Road with the wonderful panorama of the Highlands behind them. However, I should be able to capture cyclists another day as it's a favourite road for them. The dark sky and blue mountains made this my choice.
