I had my camera with me for almost the entire day today, so I had 24 photos of 4 subjects/events to choose from. I knew that I had today's blip, however, the moment I heard the mellow and melancholy sound of this erhu as I entered the subway to the train station.

I felt a bit conflicted afterwards though, as I realised that, first, I could have given him a bit more money than I did (he was playing beautifully) and, second, he may not have been happy that I was taking a photo of him (look at his expression!). I know I should have asked first but it just didn't occur to me at all until after I had my shots. Next time, I'll be a bit more respectful and ask.

Anyway, if you're in Hong Kong and you see this man — or any other busker — do stop to listen and, if you like his music, give generously!
