Pylons - love 'em or hate 'em....

...they are the price we pay for all that power we use. Unfortunately there are a lot of them around us as we live fairly close to Ferrybridge, Eggborough and Drax power stations.

They are great on windy days when the air howls around the wires and on wet days when you can hear them fizzing and crackling.

They may seem an odd subject for a blip, but hey!

I don't normally give them a second glance - but today the sun was shining on this pair and it just made them pop out against the grey skies behind.
