homegrown romaine
I planted some lettuce about a week ago when it was a bit warmer outside. The temperature today started at 41 F (5 C) and got as high as 62 F (16 C), which is really very chilly for sub tropical Florida. Lettuce likes cooler temps, so it's doing great - as long as it does not freeze tonight (I don't think so). We cannot even grow many vegetables May-September, it's just too hot!
Well, I'm like hobbs. I can't give up the sound illustration of my photo quite yet : ) If you have any doubts at how yummy and crisp romaine lettuce can be, especially homegrown, take a listen here! : o )
