BBC wasn't built in one day
I shall define today as an epitome of my higher education life--I met some noted "old pals" in the poet corner in Westminster abbey as an English major; then I finally made my in-depth visit to BBC, yet as a media specialist-to-be.
Thx to my generous instructor from my grad-school who was a key member in BBC, I was introduced to senior producer, Frank, who successfully arranged my visit a rewarding one. This visit is indeed the most anticipated and perhaps the core of my journey here.
It was, to be very frank, not just a "physical" visit indeed--in other words, not just looking around to get amazed by the professional working environment and the people working here. Frank introduced me one of his experienced colleagues, Brit, to share her 12 years journalistic life in BBC. I believed that we had a pleasant conversation, discussing about radio news production and its macro status quo.
Not until I made such an in-the-spot witness, could I never have believed how BBC fought his way to accomplish his media power today, probably the only impartial news power.
Now that I am about to fly home tomorrow evening, I'd better seize on chances to seek more about London.
