Time to finish packing away the last signs of Christmas tonight.

My lifetime's collection of tree decorations, given annually by my late Granny were carefully tucked into the crumpled tissue she had once wrapped them in. A simple note, in her elegant hand writing was found and cherished at the bottom of a box, unexpected treasure. I wonder if she knew that these Christmas gifts would be such a beautiful part of her rich legacy and that I'd be so enjoying them on my own family tree.

And then, there's Carol the carol singer (pictured). She has been dutifully perched on our bathroom cabinet, aiding, encouraging and rewarding E's toilet training success with chocolate coins and other treats! Thank you Granny and thank you Carol.
