Thorn-tailed Rayadito

These little birds are all over the place – they make a squeaky little ticking noise and are easier to hear than see. There was certainly no shortage of them in the forest today. It’s a Thorn-tailed Rayadito (Aphrastura spinicauda), known locally as Rayadito or more commonly Tintica. Pretty little birds.
