Chinese

I have replaced my morning reading of War and Peace on the train with teaching myself Mandarin. I am aiming for being able to speak and listen, the reading is too scary (although I do recognise the character for "noodle"). I want to be able to order food, be able to get around on transport and get a hotel room. Any more is a bonus. So far I can count to ten & say beer (glass or bottle). This will come in useful later on in the year when we go on our grand adventure!
