Flotsam

On the tideline of the Thames, along side a single Birkenstock sandal and a rather groovy woven silver leather trainer...

The flood gates were shut today, so I couldn't access the quayside, but got to the river by paddling through a minor flooded playing-field and over some sea wall steps. the tide was well out, so no risk of a flood.

Good walk, not as good as 'real' seaside, but better than no water at all. I;'d so much love to live by real seaside, but the past few days have made me wonder whether that's a dream I need to re assess.
