Southern Right Whale!

Today we went on an excursion. We went to Hermanus which is about 40 mins away from Kleinbaai and had an hour's whale watching from the rocks on the shore. There was a mother and calf very close to the shore and several other whales a bit further out - amazing! The picture is the nose of one of the whales poking out of the water.

Then we headed to Betty's Bay to see a colony of penguins! After lunch with one of the owners of the White Shark Projects, we went for a wine tasting tour and finally home after that - what a great day!
