Depressing

This is the most depressing time of the year in Finland. It´s getting darker and colder. But snow can come any day, and it makes everything more blippable. We were expecting snow today to Helsinki, but only sleet came for twenty minutes. In dictionary I red that the word sleet means different kind of snow in England, than in America.
So we had British sleet. In Finnish language we have about 30 words for snow. I´ve heard that in English about 10.
On the other hand, Finnish has one word for beer. How many in English?
