My journey in Pictures

Wet willow woodland

I visited Helston to see the effects the weather has had on the River and the Willow Woodland
I am covering the area as part of my habitat project. The River Cobur was canalised some years ago which has helped to prevent it from flooding, this has had a effect on the willow woodland which is drying out and dying.
The River was pumped out in December to prevent it flooding the town, however, it has flooded and the willow woodland is now benefitting as it is now officially wet..

It was very wet today - horizontal rain - it was hard to get images with the camera wrapped in plastic.
This is the now wet willow woodland.. this is how it should look..
