Was up working late last night, just about to hit the sack then noticed a really clear half moon out the window with its light framing the clock tower perfectly. Sleep would have to wait.
The red colour is pretty much as it came from the camera, just increased the contrast and added textures. The thing that's missing though is the moon, removed it from the image as the 30 second exposure tuned it into a huge white fireball of light.
Any tips on shooting the moon within a dark landscape and giving enough light to the landscape without over exposing an already bright moon? Should I take two shots at different exposures and merge them together?
