The morning after..! Back on my feet in rehab at B
Thank you everyone for your kind messages, txt, good vibes/thoughts and love sent to my lovely old boy Tombo.. We had a call from Bourton Vale vet Richard Tylor to up date Toms progress..., which was he had a reasonable recovery from the operation, the wound was much worse then they originally thought but he's back on his feet & was coming to terms with his plastered leg (the plaster is to prevent the movement of the joint & breaking open the stitches and repair to joint). the next 36hrs will be crucial to his recover to prevent any infection penetrating from the joint capsule to the wound, he said "fortunately for Tom the wound was very clean due to the prompt action from the time of the injury to treatment (Cath carefully hosing water around the wound & prompt action from my Vet Tim Watson cleansing/ flushing and sterilising/stabilising it).. Dick and I went to see him this afternoon his groom said he refused to eat or drink.. His little face looked soo relieved to see us, Within 5mins of pats & cuddles he was eating his breakfast drinking and happily munching his hay when we left.! He maybe our old boy of 24 this year, but he still needed his mum & dads reassurance.. Tom sent special message to Cath Chambers " thank you so much for helping/sorting Minie & Lola well mum come to visit me xxxxx
