This is the Thames at Staine this morning. The tow path has completely disappeared as far as the eye can see in both directions. My guess is it is at least 6foot higher than normal
I really feel sorry for all the folk who are flooded today. We have lived here for 25 years and I have never seen the Thames so high. Chertsey bridge was closed today and the runnymede hotel was evacuated as the thames decided to flood as far as the A308 and effectively closed the road between runnymead and Old windsor. Chaos on the roads reigned for a few hors this morning meaning getting to work at The Kitchen was challenging for some.

We served 50 lunches and it was a really busy day.
On the plus side it was dry and pleasant

went to the gym first thing and picked up the Canadian dollars. 6 days to go and Calgary is getting warmer. only -11 last night. this time next week we will be flying over hudson Bay . wooohooo not in the least excited.
