Feeding the ducks

It seems to be fairly international that small children love to feed the ducks!
This lad was wisely standing a bit back from the water because the nearest ducks just swam over but those further down the channel came flying in and waterskied into the flock as they landed. I was quite impressed.
I think it's pure greed on the part of the ducks because 200m away the council keeps their feeder filled with suitable food. Maybe they are hoping for unsuitable food like christmas cake crumbs!
The forecast is for cold weather (at last!!!!) so next week I reckon this will be frozen again.
