Autumnal Viewing
Today we went out in search of doing some hiking amongst all the beautiful autumnal coloring. Unfortunately, we found trees that bypassed the coloring changing phase and went straight to the yellow-brown phase. Okay, so this photo doesn't really verify that statement, but trust me, this fall hasn't been anything to remember.
In other news, my husband and I heard about the couple-carrying contest while up in the UP of Michigan in September. It's based on a Finnish tradition where traditionally the wife is being carried, but in today's world sometimes the wife does the carrying and sometimes you have same-sex couples. A Maine couple won the US title this year. Soon they will be off to Finland to compete for the world title. Watch out Finland!
P.S. Bigger view does more justice to the scenery.
