Bu burn

After the man from Highland Fuels had been we took the opportunity to once again walk our local route. A very high tide had dumped a whole lot of ware and tangles in the mouth of the Bu Burn. In fact we struggled to get the gate to the walk forced open.

A fairly sunny day with a strengthening west-north-west wind. Returned home to repair the poly tunnel; made a few parts to reinfoce the weather-end. Ordered coal from St Margaret's Hope. It has been confirmed that the Burns Supper on Flotta is on 31st January. The Rognvald Anderson Band will be plenty. It would be mad to miss it. There is always a great welcome on Flotta. Continiuing on an Anderson theme we have invited Peggy and Onnie down for their Sunday lunch. We received an invite ourselves out from friends in Orphir for Saturday night - with the offer of a sleepover.

CMC informs me that tonight will be a dance free night and that she will recommence with the fairisle. I am re-reading the Grey Coast by Neill Gunn.
