Burrs and brrrr

Well I was happy with these pretty burrs silhouetted against the sunrise until I got home and had them literally all. over. my. fleece. Took a good hour to get them out but happy with the sunrise burr pic despite that.

I made it on the ferry today despite being stuck for 45 min to wait for a car accident to clear on the highway. I had to park my car and hitchhike (NO BC ferries I will NOT pay 16$ a day to park my car no matter how freaking late I am!) It was 5 minutes to the ferry cut off and the walk takes 20 minutes so I had to hope to hell someone would feel sorry for me and pick me up. To add to the stress the 315 was the last ferry of the day on Saturday, oh how I love you BC ferries! I ran, well hobbled, on my sprained ankle with all of my bags. Car after car drove by me and my shameful thumb and I cursed humanity for all it was worth.

Then a guy in a fancy sportscar picked me up, saying he never ever does that but since he saw me running he felt sorry for me. MY SAVIOR! I definitely pumped that guy up for awhile. Faith in humanity was restored.

When talking to Patrick about this he says "I guess that's one of the upsides of being a cute girl" at first I wanted to argue that that didn't have anything to do with it. Then I thought of the last three times I've gotten picked up on this hike to/from my car and it happened to all be young men. Coincidence? Perhaps ;)

Oh and YA I know hitchhiking is dangerous....
