PYLONS OF FIRST BRIDGE AT ALEXANDRA.

The original bridge was a suspension bridge and well remember crossing it many times. These pylons (I suppose you call them that) are in the river beside the new brtidge and have stood the test of time.
It was designed by L.D.McGregoor the County Engineer, and built in 1879-82 by Jeremiah Drummy, and the new bridge was opened in 1958.
