Winter Circle

...or is it a hexagon?? see below!

From the top right and round clockwise you have Capella, Aldebarran, Rigel, Sirius, Procyon and Pollox

Pollox with a P ....no sniggering at the back.

Incorporated within the Winter Circle is the Winter triangle...that goes from Betelgeuse the left shoulder of Orion, out and across to Procyon and Sirius.

I am really not sure why there are not just six winter triangles cos really if we are arbitrarily drawing lines between things then surely triangle make far more sense than irregular hexagonal circles.

Maybe I should mail in to lovely Dara on Stargazing and see if he'd like to come around and explain it to me.
