Happy Birthday, Happy Center Parcs

It is my birthday today so we decided a little while ago, to spend the weekend at Center Parcs at Elveden. we have been before and we love it.

So after arrived we headed straight for the pool. The Pirate Cove had been redone since we were last there. It is now called Venture Cove and is a splash Park style area, with smaller flumes. Both kids really enjoyed it, although W insisted on keeping his goggles on through out.

We messed around in the wave pool and then Carys wanted to do the rapids. We really didn't know if William would be able to swim the required distance to be allowed to join us. He is perfectly capable of swimming quite a long way, but he loses confidence part way through and panics. However he swam far enough to satisfy the lifeguard and down we went. William loved it and his first words on getting out were "Can we do it again?"

So a lot of time was spent on the rapids, then we headed off to find the house. Center Parcs do really lovely Christmas decorations, and I was really pleased to find that they hadn't yet taken them down. So of course I had to blip some of them.

Kids had tea and for the first time slept in the same bedroom. They went to sleep really well with no silliness and then Jim and I rounded off the birthday day with thai curry and wine. Perfect day.
