Happy New Year Birthday!

Happy New Year!
and Happy 70th birthday to my mother-in-law!

Today we all slept in, enjoyed a lazy afternoon, then had our night dive. We suited up on the boat just before sunset, then headed to a familiar coral reef where we explored the ocean depths by flashlight. One of the coolest things we experienced were swarms of glow-in-the-dark plankton. These could also be seen on the beach at night, but swimming among them was really fun.

After the dive, we went to dinner, where our designated waiter for the trip, Shaheer, had beautifully decorated our table with fresh flowers, tree leaves, and seeds.

Not a bad way to dive into the new year :)
