After one year
He sent me 12.

After two years,
He sent me 24

After three years.
He gave me 36

After four years
He gave me 48

And then I found the other two which made up the 50 from the packs of 10 he had bought from the supermarket, thrown in the garden where he had come in from the car park.

I get Daffodils now :-)
