Family of Families

This lovely art piece was painted by Jessica Heriot, former pupil, as part of our summer playground renovation project. Each leaf records the names of pupils past and present and illustrates North Primary School's motto - A Family of Families. This school has been providing quality rural education, at Port Bannatyne, since 1846. The history of the school is remarkable from the days of parish schooling to 21st century education. There have been a couple of attempts by Argyll & Bute Council to close it in recent years however our community has been steadfast in their support.
We are delighted with recent agreement to improve the condition of the building, protecting this wonderful heritage and ensuring the school community has a safe and secure place to learn.
