Where's the weir?!
Decorations safely stowed away in the attic, Christmas tree out in the garden for the birds to enjoy, the world has lost its sparkle. But normality is starting to return...
Like a lot of the South West of the UK, floods are everywhere. No more rain fell today, but the River Chew was in full spate when I walked through the park. Underneath this raging torrent is the weir, which is usually a good 10-12 feet drop below. I wish you could hear the noise that this normally peaceful river was making, just like the white water rapids of the Colorado river in the Grand Canyon! Ok, I might be exaggerating slightly there!!
Hope you're all keeping dry and safe!
